You could get gorgeous in a jiffy or look bad; it depends on how you apply your make up foundation. There are different types of foundation available, one that makes your day. Find the right Foundation for your skin and try them because it is never the same for all skins. Like all skin care items, foundation too should be chosen according to the skin type. It is generally applied on the face, neck and around the ears. It has to blend symmetrically and not look patchy.
A) For oily skin apply a very light foundation, a liquid foundation would be the lightest. They apply some compact powder to close the pores and set your skin tone. If your skin is too oily then leave out the foundation during summers. Use a oil free lotion, preferably water or Aloe Vera based moisturizes for oily skin and the regular kind for the dry skin. Sunscreen lotions and other skin care agents can keep your skin from Sun damage.
B) For dry skin use a foundation with a natural color. For combination skin, use foundation made specially for this skin type. If you have dark circles, acne and wrinkles, apply a moisturizer before using a foundation. If your complexion is perfect you can get away with minimal application and try to leave it as natural as you can.
Be easy on the powder because it is dry and will further crack the skin or get settled into the crack of the skin. Patchy adherence will give a complete bizarre look. To avoid this, use moisturizer on all the exposed areas of the face and the surroundings like between the brows, corner of the eyelids, and edge of the nose, neck and ears. Then use a brush for an even tone, and now apply the foundation. Foundations on a regular use could spoil your skin so use them only when need. Don't choke your skin with a tightened foundation.
